Two weeks prior to the Specialty, Candy competed in her 1st Herding Trial and she not ONLY earned her 1st leg but she also won Reserve High in Trial and High Border Collie in that trial.  The next day she earned her 2nd leg and 4th place.  This enabled Candy to to eligible at the BC National to finish her herding title by earning just 1 more leg in competition.  Below is a picture of Candy & her ribbon(s) for her last leg for her Herding Title and her 3rd Place Ribbon taken at the National.

Rally.  Candy earned a perfect score of 100 and is pictured below with her 1st place ribbon

Blitzen's Fountain of Youth - 'Quelle'

My dog’s name is Quelle, which in German means spring or fountain. Her registered name is Blitzen’s Fountain of Youth. A better name could not have been chosen as she is celebrating her 15th birthday in July!
This just goes to show what you can get from good breeding and a whole lot of love!

I have never seen a dog more motivated. After a back injury cut her agility career short, she still loved to swim, tug and chase the tennis ball. Still at the advanced age of 15 she needs to be restrained from running with the other dogs and given simpler tasks that she enjoys, but that is no easy feat.

Everyone’s dogs are special and everyone has that “one” dog that they will never forget. Well, my Quelle is my one in a million and I give a million thanks to Pam for having such a great program, for knowing the breed and allowing me this 15 years of joy!

While my old and dear girl is nearing her end, it has been a constant joy having her in our lives. A life that has been filled with good times and great memories. NEVER have I had a dog with such focus and drive!

Thank you for letting me share a “brief” history and please join us in celebrating Quelle’s 15th birthday.
